Our wine cocktail for this warm Friday afternoon is a twist on a classic Mojito – the Sutter Home Bubbly Moscato Mojito! The best part of this recipe, besides the Bubbly Moscato of course, is the mint simple syrup. Cheers to the weekend!

Sutter Home Bubbly Moscato Mojito
-A handful of fresh mint leaves, destemmed
-1/2 oz. mint simple syrup (recipe below)
-1 oz. white rum
-Juice of one lime
-1 oz. Sutter Home Bubbly Moscato
-Lime wedge for garnish
Muddle mint leaves in the bottom of a pint glass. Fill glass with ice. Add rum & simple syrup. Splash an ounce of Sutter Home Bubbly Moscato on top. Garnish with a lime wedge. Makes 1 drink.
Mint Simple Syrup Recipe
-1 cup sugar
-1 cup water
-1 packed cup of chopped mint leaves
Combine chopped mint leaves, sugar and water in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 2 minutes. Turn off flame and let syrup cool to room temperature. Strain syrup if desired.
